From classics including “Un Verano en Nueva York” (El Gran Combo) to “Cali Aji” (Grupo Niche), the tour will pay tribute to the legacy of Latin music while driving its evolution and resurgence among new generations.

“Salsa has never stopped beating, but today, it’s more alive than ever,” stated Carolina Daza, head of Live Entertainment at CMN. “We are witnessing how a new generation of artists and listeners are rediscovering this genre, reinterpreting it and paying tribute to the giants who paved the way. This tour is a celebration of salsa's past, present and future.”

With a storied musical history spanning six decades, El Gran Combo is considered Puerto Rico’s most successful musical group and has been bestowed the moniker “La Universidad de la Salsa” for shaping generations of salsa singers and musicians. Formed in 1962 by the late Rafael Ithier, this salsa group continues to inspire dancers with its horn-punctuated Latin rhythms and lush vocal harmonies.

The group has released over 40 albums, earned six Latin GRAMMY® nominations and won Best Salsa Album for “Arroz con Habichuela.” Their album, “In Alaska: Breaking the Ice,” earned their first GRAMMY® nomination. El Gran Combo has 22 entries on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and all singles charted within the top 50, including “Amame” (#8), “Me Libere” (#11) and “Aguacero” (#12). Most notably, the band received the Latin GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award, the International Latin Music Hall of Fame induction and an ASCAP Latin Heritage Award.

Formed in 1979 by Alexis Lozano and the late Jairo Varela, Grupo Niche is the Colombian salsa powerhouse widely recognized as the most successful salsa band in Latin America. Known for their vibrant and energetic dance music and romantic ballads, their music features strong brass, the hallmark of their sound.

Grupo Niche has produced 30 studio albums, earned a Latin GRAMMY® nomination for “Con Dinero y Sin Dinero” (Record of the Year and Best Tropical Song) and their albums “40” and “Niche Sinfónico” earned Latin GRAMMYS® for Best Salsa Album. Their timeless salsa hits include “Sin Sentimientos,” “Una Aventura,” “Gotas de Lluvia” and “Cali Pachanguero,” which is highly regarded for its cultural significance and is considered an anthem for Colombians and a staple among the salsa genre.

El Gran Combo and Grupo Niche have rarely shared the same stage. Their mutual reverence and contributions to salsa’s global legacy make the Salsa Pal’ Mundo Tour a historic experience. Fans can expect high-energy performances of salsa’s rich heritage and packed with iconic songs.
